For 25 years I’ve been involved with Information Technology where I’ve founded or co-founded a few different companies. I started out my career working for a major government contractor back in the late 1980s developing command & control and communications systems for various branches of the armed forces and government agencies. After a few years of that I branched out into consulting and founded my first company at the age of 23. For the next 20 years we developed software solutions for companies such as American Express, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Rodale Press, Harvard University and the Chicago Tribune.
I then entered into a more philanthropic phase of life and left the company I started to join a $200m non-profit based outside of Boston that delivers innovative solutions to address some of the world’s most urgent needs in the areas of eduction, health and economic development across 35 countries. Here I manage teams that are responsible for our organization’s critical enterprise systems (e.g. finance, human resources, etc.) as well as developing software-based solutions for any of our 300 active programs that require such solutions.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family in a variety of outdoor activities at our vacation home in Vermont.
